YarnArts currently features Kathleen's Playtime Doll Patterns, brother and sister dolls, Todd & Candice (Baby Dolls/toddler/Children) which have special features not normally found in crochet dolls. You can plug these bed-time dolls' thumbs into their mouths and Todd's tiny buns show through the drop-flap of his pj's....

But Kathleen specialty is Detailed Collector Baby Doll & Toddler Doll Patterns (Baby Dolls/toddler/Children). These make ultimate bed dolls and terrific home decor accents for every doll lover. Although most Kathleen Early dolls can wear regular 0-3 month size baby clothes, you won't want to cover Baby Beau's (Baby Dolls/toddler/Children) uniquely "crocheted in" baby fat details or Bonnie and Lil' Buster's crocheted navel, individual fingers, etc.... unless you are using them to display your child's precious keepsake clothing ..... like their "home from the hospital" outfits or your "family heirloom" christening outfit.... Kathleen has created unique, individual personalities for her BellyButton series of animal characters (Bellybuttons). Fred, the YarnArts graphic artist, plans to produce the creation story behind the personalities of each of them. We would like to provide a free copy of these stories on our site to provide gift givers with a printable personality profile, which could be included with their completed items....

Kathleen's Hand (Puppets) are also full-bodied stuffed animals and action toys. She's created "just for fun" (Holiday Designs) with children's school parties in mind. Yet you'll see her artistic crochet ability in her unicorn and Pegasus (Mythological creatures).

All Kathleen Early patterns use readily available, economical knitting or baby weight yarns and many can be worked in crochet thread to create a minatures collection. Her pattern materials are common household or inexpensive craft department items.

We will be carefully putting together our resources page, to assure that our customers can continue to get any craft items listed in our patterns. If our customers let us know that a listed material is no-longer easily available, and we can't provide you with a reasonable source, we can change the material list in our patterns to reflect the use of a new, more easily available, material... this is possible because...

Kathleen's patterns and this site are family produced and operated (currently by Kathleen's husband Fred and daughter Michelle) instead of commercially, professionally produced. Although you may find some novice composition errors, this allows us more personal input...to continue upgrading our site, based on our customer's requests and feedback, while keeping it consistent with our personal site goals, which are ...

The patterns offered on this site are NOT a relisting of patterns which are available on large commercial store fronts. We don't buy and resell other people's commercial patterns and you won't find our patterns on commercial resale sites.... Although Kathleen's design specialty is soft-sculpture crochet art which adds individual personality to stuffed animal characters, baby dolls, playtime dolls, teddy bears, famous personality dolls, picture afghans & pillows; she also designs baby clothing, christening dress patterns, doll clothing (which fit both her crocheted dolls and other popular commercial adoption dolls, etc.), display doll accessories, doll gear patterns (doll display walker, high chair etc.), realistic stuffed animals and other unusual artistic items. We also have crocheted toys, holiday (not just Christmas) items and create patterns to crochet just for fun... and still consider customer requests or suggestions for new patterns....
